Our first exhibition of the new year will be ‘From Land’s End to John O’Groats’, a celebration of inspiring British landscapes in the artist colonies of Cornwall and Scotland (January 9th – February 6th).
Edgar Modern is pleased to present works from Judy Buxton, Jeremy Annear, Ronald F Smith RSW, David Martin RSW, Mhairi McGregor, Jessica Cooper RWA, Henrietta Dubrey and Heath Hearn – all of whom have drawn from the inspirational nature of these wild and rugged lands. These artists each take entirely different approaches to the subject and yet each captures something distinct and poignant about their subject.
This is not just a landscape exhibition, but a celebration of the geography that has provoked response from hundreds of artists over the years. As well as more traditional depictions of the beautiful scenery of Cornwall and Scotland, we will be showing abstract pieces that speak of the certain mood and feeling that these views inspire.
We hope you can join us for the Open Viewing on 9 January, 1-6pm. For now, here is a glimpse at some of the wonderful works that will be on display.
